As a Document Control Coordinator at EBC Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring integrated document management (IDM), preservation, protection, dissemination, and research of information according to policies, procedures, laws, and standards governing document management.

This position requires strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail to monitor Engineering Contractor's document control activities and progress, receive, interpret, and process documents from clients, engineering firms, subcontractors, and team members.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Monitoring Engineering Contractor's document control activities and progress;
  • Understanding project contractual requirements and aligning document control processes and procedures for the team;
  • Receiving, interpreting, and processing documents from clients, engineering firms, subcontractors, and team members;
  • Performing various activities necessary for integrated document management, including classification, filing, indexing, assembly, entry, traceability, registration, digitization, quality control, transfer, archiving, destruction, etc.;
  • Ensuring documentation deliverables are tracked and correctly reported in contractors' and clients' document management systems;
  • Analyzing documents containing complex and unusual problems and participating in developing solution elements;
  • Identifying and correcting discrepancies in documentation;
  • Maintaining and applying the system of classification, inventory, indexing, and conservation of data according to procedures, policies, and laws in force and participating in its improvement;
  • Assisting employees in using document management tools made available to them and applying pre-established standards and procedures;
  • Preparing, assembling, and scanning documents as needed; and
  • Generating transmissions and reception of documentation to internal and external parties.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Document Management, Digital Information Management, or Engineering is required;
  • 3-5 years of experience in document management in the construction industry is required;
  • Relevant experience in managing engineering and project management documentation is required;
  • Experience with Unifier is required;
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite and applicable software;
  • Knowledge of BIM 360 software is an asset;
  • Bilingualism is an asset, but proficiency in English language with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) is required.

This is a full-time, permanent position located at our EBC Inc. project office. The salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
