Job Description


The successful candidate will be responsible for planning menus, estimating food requirements, requisitioning supplies, cooking meals, training staff, supervising kitchen operations, and maintaining inventory. This is a key role within our organization, and the right candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality dishes to our customers.



Key Responsibilities



  • Menu Planning: Plan menus that showcase the diversity of South Indian cuisine, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies from reputable suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Culinary Skills: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard, using fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Staff Training: Train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional service.
  • Kitchen Operations: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
  • Buffet and Banquet Services: Organize and execute buffets and banquets to a high standard, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Requirements and Qualifications


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a head chef or executive chef in a similar establishment.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and motivate staff.
