Configuration Management Expert

AAA Canada is seeking a skilled Configuration Management Expert to oversee the control and maintenance of engineering documents and configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the release, storage, and archiving of engineering documents and drawings.
  • Ensure the availability and accessibility of original engineering data in the MAI system.
  • Generate new part numbers and revisions in the ERP/MRP system and EBOM.
  • Provide controlled access to original design data and ensure its security.
  • Coordinate the Engineering change release process, including verification and distribution of released changes.
  • Notify the organization of released changes and distribute release packages to internal buyers and customers.
  • Maintain the Configuration Control Matrix and Technical Part List for documentation and products.
  • Manage changes to configuration items and approved configuration identification documentation.

Requirements

  • A college degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least two years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in the field of aeronautics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP software and MS Office, including MS Project, PowerPoint, and Excel, and Catia V5.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Superior organizational and leadership skills.
  • Bilingualism (French-English) in speaking and writing is an asset.
