Job DescriptionThis exciting opportunity is for a skilled Naval Architecture Technologist to join our team of engineers and technologists. As part of this role, you will contribute to the development of complex designs for new structures and systems, ensuring the Royal Canadian Navy remains ready to help, lead, and fight.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the creation of technical studies, drawings, and specifications
- Assist with report writing and equipment selection
- Perform engineering design and structural analysis
- Work on systems integration projects
- Develop 3D models of ship equipment and compartment arrangements
- Conduct engineering analyses such as finite element analysis
- Select and specify equipment, write reports, and conduct surveys of shipboard equipment
- Analyze weights and stability
- Participate in field studies
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 0-2 years of marine-based engineering experience (naval ship project experience is an asset)
- Be self-starting, adaptable, and eager to take on challenges
