Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

Job Description

In this role, you will perform training task analysis, develop training programs, create training support materials, prepare theory lessons and practical exercises, provide subject matter expertise, and train presentation. Critical skills include experience and knowledge of sensor and tactical systems operation, maintenance, and employment for one or multiple Naval programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive Training Task Analyses to define training requirements;
  • Define Performance Objectives (PO), conditions, and standards;
  • Plan and design tests for student achievement based on PO requirements;
  • Design training curricula to enable objective (EO) and teaching point (TP) level;
  • Prepare lesson plan outlines, storyboards, and supporting instructional material;
  • Support simulator design requirements definition;
  • Develop and execute shipboard Set To Work procedures for equipment provided to customers;
  • Perform Verification and Validation activities including test plans and procedures execution to ensure compliance with program requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as an instructor at a Naval school;
  • Experience in operations and maintenance training development and delivery in a military context;
  • Practical training exercise development experience for military training;
  • Familiarity with systems-based training development;
  • Familiarity with Naval operations and support;
  • Strong experience in ship operations, maintenance, and modification;
  • Familiarity with CFITES and systems approach to training;
  • Performance Objective (PO) and Enabling Objective (EO) development experience within systems approach to training;
  • Familiarity with Qualification Standards (QS) for Naval maintainers;
  • Ship equipment installation activity experience;
  • Candidate must obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment. Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
