We are seeking a Senior Environmental Assessment Practitioner, Project Manager to join our Atlantic Environmental Assessment and Permitting team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

About the Role

As a senior practitioner, you will actively participate as an advisor and mentor with multi-disciplinary regional and national teams, leading projects on environmental impact assessment and permitting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise on permitting, regulatory, and environmental impact assessment tasks.
  • Work on multiple projects to support execution of scope, budget, and schedule to meet client expectations and ensure quality standards.
  • Support engagement activities with Indigenous groups, communities, and stakeholders during project design and permitting.
  • Execute activities such as permit application scoping, information requirements, technical writing, data research, and review.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with WSP employees worldwide.
  • Support typical project assignments including researching regulatory or technical requirements and writing reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Biology or Environmental Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience with federal and provincial environmental impact assessments.
  • Project management experience with strong project management skills.
  • Expertise with Federal, Provincial, and Territorial regulations and guidelines (NS and IAAC).
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to function in a team setting, accept responsibility, and work to deadlines.
