Senior Naval Engineering Services Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Naval Engineering Services Director to join our team in Halifax, Canada. As a key member of our waterfront project team, you will be responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplined engineers and technicians who provide various engineering services to the Royal Canadian Navy's AOPV and JSS ships.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the LCMM and Engineering Manager in managing and maintaining the coastal Engineering presence for in-service programs.
- Responsible and accountable for the coordination and execution of engineering activities.
- Keep the Formation Technical Authority appraised of any risk associated with the platforms.
- Provide direction on way forward for Corrective Maintenance activities and associated Certification requirements.
- Exercise engineering authority as delegated within the In-Service Programs.
- Advise the Service Delivery organization in engineering and technical matters pertaining to delivery of the engineering services.
- Liaise directly with the customer, Enterprise stakeholders, the In-Service Technical Support Network, and other entities associated with the delivery of In-Service Support services.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 10 years of experience in a post-graduate engineering role, with a minimum of 5 years in the Canadian naval or maritime industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia, Canada.
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers and technicians.
- Experience working with a defense contract is an asset.
