About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medication Care Specialist to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of care and services for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
  • Documentation: Accurately document medication administration, including resident information and medication details.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Risk Management: Identify and report potential safety hazards, and participate in risk management initiatives to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and participate in regular meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications in CPR and First Aid a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with seniors preferred; ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
