Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Medication Care Specialist to join our team. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Provide high-quality care by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document and communicate medication administration, resident concerns, and other relevant information to the Resident Care Director (RCD) or Wellness Nurse.
  • Medication Management: Receive medication updates, administer, assist with, and observe medications and treatments for each resident, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
  • Confidentiality and Safety: Maintain confidentiality of resident information, including medication, and ensure a safe environment by reporting accidents, incidents, and hazardous conditions.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in daily Cross Over meetings, contribute to the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), and engage in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with certifications in CPR and First Aid, and ongoing training in medication administration and management.
  • Experience and Skills: Previous experience working with seniors, ability to make choices and decisions, react calmly in difficult situations, and handle multiple priorities.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a strong commitment to serving seniors and their families.
