Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet their physical, social, and emotional needs.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and providing wound care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Completion of a post-graduate critical care course or two years' recent experience in an equivalent setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures.
  • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and prioritize tasks effectively.
