Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced RN Emergency Nurse to join our team at St. Paul's Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including referrals to specialists and other healthcare services.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Two years' recent experience working in a tertiary care emergency department and/or two years' recent medical/surgical experience with an approved post-basic emergency nursing specialty program.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team, promoting a culture of respect and compassion.
