Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction General Manager to join our team at Employment and Social Development Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of construction professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Financial Management: Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work meets the highest quality standards, adhering to relevant codes and regulations.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a construction management role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be required to work on-site, with occasional travel to project locations.
