Purchasing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Assistant to join our team at Activ8 Recruitment & Solutions. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in analyzing market prices, maintaining communications with other departments, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market prices of materials from various suppliers based on quality and shipping costs.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments to prevent damage, loss, delay, or customer complaints.
  • Analyze order progress reports and suggest improvements to prevent delays or issues.
  • Create and update purchasing documents, including RFQs, and provide feedback to suppliers.
Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience in supply chain coordination or purchasing in a manufacturing or industrial supplier industry.
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and be flexible to work with a wide variety of people.
