Purchasing Administrator

Vuteq Canada Inc. is a leading provider of sales and engineering services, representing Vuteq and Diversity Vuteq manufacturing groups throughout North America. Our company has a strong presence in the automotive parts manufacturing and design industry, supplying components to major manufacturers such as General Motors, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, and Honda Motor Manufacturing.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Purchasing Coordinators in ensuring all required documentation is up to date and maintained. This includes preparing graphs or charts of data, documenting management, and supporting cost control activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare graphs or charts of data or enter data into computer for analysis, as needed
  • Document management: create and update VTCA purchasing documents
  • Responsible to support the VTCA team and Purchasing Coordinator activities as required
  • Support on the Request for quote (RFQ) activities: Create RFQs, send to suppliers for pricing, compare returned RFQs from different suppliers, provide feedback to suppliers
  • Total cost analysis
  • Supplier development: Includes researching new suppliers, participating in supplier meetings, cost reduction ideas, site-visits
  • Support communication internally with other departments and externally with suppliers

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of OSSD or equivalent
  • 6-12 months production experience
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills, maintain professional customer relations
  • Must have great organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Must be able to demonstrate team commitment through work ventures and be a team player
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and detail orientation when producing data and reports
  • Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines and importance of tasks
