The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering operational efficiency and effectiveness, building strong partnerships across the organization.
About the Role
This position requires a seasoned professional with at least 10 years of experience in audit, risk management, or risk advisory in a heavily regulated financial institution. A proven track record of managing large teams across regions, with expertise in interpersonal relationship-building skills, technical training, coaching, and development is essential. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills are necessary to manage the book of work, operational challenges, and achieve critical deadlines. Effective communication with key stakeholders, including explaining complex concepts, is also vital.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Head of the Centralized Testing Group will be responsible for:
1. Delivering strategic vision for the Centralized Testing Group, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and continuously evolving tactical execution in line with industry standards.
2. Overseeing the annual plan and managing Service Level Agreements with stakeholders, balancing capacity, demand, and resources to deliver on the group's mandate effectively.
3. Leading and developing a team of audit professionals, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to ensure skill enhancement, employee engagement, and career growth.
4. Collaborating with Learning and Methodology teams to ensure onboarding, training, and best practices are embedded across the team, promoting high standards of quality testing services.
5. Continuously evaluating and recommending improvements to optimize processes, leveraging KPIs to measure performance results, and articulating return on investment to executive leadership.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in audit, risk management, or risk advisory in a heavily regulated financial institution.
2. An undergraduate degree, preferably in accounting, business, finance, or a related discipline.
3. Proven experience managing a large team across regions, with a focus on interpersonal and relationship-building skills and ability to provide technical training, coaching, and development to others.
4. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills to manage the book of work, operational challenges, and achieve critical deadlines.
5. Proven ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with key stakeholders, including explaining complex concepts to various stakeholders ranging from specialists to executives.
