Nova Scotia Community College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategic Priorities Lead to join our Office of Learning and Transformation.

Job Summary

This full-time position plays a critical role in supporting institutional improvement initiatives, working on both planned and unplanned projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for scoping, organizing, managing, and delivering projects that align with the College's strategic goals.

About the Role

The Senior Strategic Priorities Lead will work collaboratively across various departments to ensure that projects are delivered efficiently, within scope, on time, and with measurable impact. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the establishment of the new Office by working with OLT's leadership team on improving and/or growing existing processes
  • Developing new lines of business and supporting decisions on organizational structure to align with new work
  • Designing and implementing departmental information management practices

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and best practices, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build mutually productive relationships and interact with senior leadership and key partner groups.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-secondary education in Business Administration, Project Management, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of recent and related occupational experience in project management or a similar role, preferably in an educational or public sector environment
  • Proven experience leading complex, time-sensitive projects from inception to completion, with a track record of successful outcomes

You will also have experience with project management tools and methods, including risk management, strategic planning, and change management, as well as experience with data analysis and reporting.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
