About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Production Specialist to join our team at Saint Germain Bakery. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing dough, batters, and icings for a variety of baked goods, including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Production: Prepare dough, batters, and icings according to recipes or special customer orders, ensuring high-quality products that meet our standards.
  • Special Orders and Decorations: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to perfection.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary materials to meet customer demand.
  • Team Leadership: Train and supervise staff members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Control: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Sales and Merchandising: Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods, including pricing, promotions, and display.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Work Setting: Large volume bakery environment.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
