About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Labourer to join our team at Garden City Kosher Bakery Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials with precision and efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
  • Remove filled containers from conveyors and manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers.
  • Feed and unload processing machines, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Conduct quality checks on products and packaging, identifying and addressing any defects.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Requirements
  • Criminal record check.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical demands include bending, crouching, and kneeling, with the ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
