EVRAZ North America is seeking a Human Resources Administrative Specialist to join our team in Calgary. This role will provide administrative support for the Human Resources department, including hiring, attendance tracking, labour relations, performance and return to work management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for external HR-related queries and general department inquiries
  • Provide support on HR-related inquiries or requests through verbal and written communication forms
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews, meetings, training, and events
  • Conduct hourly recruiting, including developing job descriptions, creating requisitions, screening, selection, offer presentation, and pre-employment processing
  • Set up the process for new hires and collaborate with other departments, vendors, and outside contractors
  • Maintain employee records and attendance tracking
  • Assist with HR system applications related to compensation and payroll changes, one-time payments, and leave of absence/short-term disability entries
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business/HR-related field and/or a combination of experience and training
  • 2-5 years' administrative background with Human Resources-related responsibilities, 1-2 years' in a Human Resources role, preferred
  • Expert skills with Microsoft Office suite and experience with integrated human resources information systems, Workday experience an asset
  • Results-driven attitude focused on execution and continuous improvement
  • Meticulous attention to detail required
