Sales Manager Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to lead our Mining Group in Eastern Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing a team of sales professionals, and executing a strategic vision for the mining industry.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure sales team performance aligns with the Mining Group and Corporate Vision by setting and achieving sales targets.
- Accountable for achieving all sales, GM, and GM% targets for the assigned territory.
- Build, lead, and manage the sales team, engaging marketing teams and Group technical teams to achieve commercial performance and people management goals.
- Monitor sales performance and ensure the team is acting with the necessary rigor to achieve financial objectives.
- Foster employee engagement and promote collaboration between the sales team and internal and external teams.
- Responsible for resource allocation to ensure effective customer account coverage.
- Lead recruitment efforts, selecting high-performing individuals.
- Support the Marketing team through involvement with suppliers to ensure delivery of current and future supplier partner expectations.
- Review customer contracts and provide recommendations for execution.
- Actively participate in industry events and associations for networking, talent development, and market understanding.
- Leverage digital marketing tools to support strategic growth.
- Champion administrative and support services, including CSR, Logistics, and Operations.
- Advocate for and promote Quadra's Core Values throughout business activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, or engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum 10 years of commercial experience within the mineral processing industry.
- Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in managing commercial personnel.
- Broad technical and market understanding of the mineral processing industry.
- Expertise in coaching, leadership, and fostering motivation and inspiration within teams.
- Strong project management, negotiation, and mediation capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Highly driven with strong business acumen and commercial sense.
- Advanced proficiency in computer software, including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite, and a CRM like Salesforce.
- Demonstrates creativity, innovation, and strategic thinking.
- Strong self and time management skills, able to balance competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent listening skills, empathetic, and capable of responding with urgency.
- Strong analytical skills, able to distill and synthesize market information into a strategic or tactical thrust.
- Fluently bilingual in English and French is a strong asset.
- Valid passport and driver's license.
- Willingness and availability to travel for at least 50% of working time, including overnight.
