Sales Position

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director for our Commercial Vans department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and dealership environment with at least 5 years of proven B2B experience.

The successful candidate will lead the sales team, develop and implement sales strategies, build relationships with key clients, and conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.

Job Description:

The Sales Director for Commercial Vans will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets for commercial vans in the B2B sector;
  • Recruiting and hiring Sales Consultants and other sales team members;
  • Leading, motivating, and managing the sales team to ensure high performance and professional development;
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions;
  • Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and staying updated on industry trends and competitor activities;
  • Overseeing the entire sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a seamless customer experience;
  • Preparing regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement;
  • Working closely with other departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives;
  • Providing ongoing training and development for the sales team to enhance their skills and knowledge;
  • Planning and executing monthly and annual objectives for vehicle sales, gross profit, and expense management with General Manager;
  • Forecasting, targeting, and tracking monthly sales, profit, and expense objectives;
  • Developing, implementing, and managing vehicle sales standard operating procedures, and systems for customer follow-up and communication;
  • Working closely with Sales Consultants and Finance & Insurance Managers, coaching and improving performance relating to vehicle and product sales, including vehicle trade-in opportunities;
  • Managing the customer relationship management system, ensuring that transactions are reported and recorded accurately;
  • Managing new vehicle inventory; maintaining a well-balanced inventory and selling each vehicle with maximum gross and minimum expense; ensuring correct purchasing and price evaluation decisions when purchasing vehicles;
  • Ensuring that all required licensing and regulatory requirements are followed;
  • Tracking and posting daily sales performance;
  • Maintaining and tracking marketing and promotional programs;

About You

We're looking for candidates who possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record in customer service and dealership environment. A bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent experience, is required. Proficiency in working with ERP systems (i.e., CDK/Reynolds) and a valid OMVIC License are also essential.
