Job Opportunity:
We are looking for a skilled Director to lead our Sectoral Climate Strategy efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy consulting and experience in leading strategy projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the end-to-end emissions reduction target-setting process, including project planning and management.
  • Own the governance and controls process required to set and disclose emissions reduction targets.
  • Lead on framing RBC's enterprise-level ambition for prioritized sectors.
  • Own an enterprise-level roadmap of action in each sector and lead efforts to mobilize action against this roadmap.
  • Lead on monitoring enterprise-level progress against sectoral strategies.
  • Establish and operationalize CS&G's approach to supporting lines of business on implementing sectoral climate strategies.
  • Drive efforts to unlock value from work and expertise existing across the enterprise by identifying opportunities to increase leverage and coordination.
  • Lead discrete projects to address prioritized opportunities / challenges on sectoral strategies that require an enterprise-level response.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of strategy consulting experience either in management consulting or within the corporate strategy function of a global corporation.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), including ability to synthesize complex topics into clear messages and recommendations.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional business environment required to influence without authority, including working with senior-executive level stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to understand and meet business needs.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Innovative mindset with a desire to establish a new function within a dynamic team.
