Role Overview

Cuso International is seeking a highly skilled Development Expert to support the National Conservation Trust Fund in strengthening its capacity to effectively monitor performance and effectiveness of its programs.

This role will involve developing results-based gender-responsive monitoring and evaluation procedures, building staff capacity through training, and supporting the development of M&E systems and tools.

About the Project

The Caribbean Organizations for Resilient Environments (CORE) project aims to build the capacity of National Conservation Trust Funds to implement local, nature-based solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation with a gender-responsive lens.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct an assessment of staff capacity to implement M&E tools and systems to assess program impact.
  • Support the development of training resources and conduct training sessions with staff on results-based gender-responsive planning, monitoring, and evaluation procedures and practices.
  • Support the development of M&E systems and tools to collect disaggregated data and conduct program impact assessments.
  • Support the development of gender-responsive and results-based indicators to monitor and report on the effectiveness of program implementation.
  • Support the development of an M&E database and creation of M&E reports.
  • Support staff capacity building in grants management and monitoring.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a university degree in social or political sciences, international development, human rights, gender studies, social work, law, public policy, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a position related to the promotion of gender equality, diversity, and women's development issues is also required.

What We Offer

Cuso International offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. This role also provides opportunities for professional development and travel within the region.
