We are looking for our next Bilingual HRBP to join one of our major civil projects in Montreal. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our company and make a meaningful impact on our community.

Your Responsibilities

As our new Bilingual HRBP, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Recruitment: Define (new) role requirements, advise on existing role requirements, develop role profiles as required, and conduct job analysis. Provide headcount projection and strategic workforce planning support when applicable.
  • Employee Relations: Manage effective situation/conflict management, working closely with managers to ensure employee relations issues are handled professionally and timely, and to minimize risks to the project.
  • Labor relations management: Advise and support managers in the management of sound labor relations, ensuring the smooth running of internal investigations into complaints, grievances, performance management, the disciplinary management process, and/or violations of policies and procedures.
  • Talent Management: Support managers and employees with performance management and objective setting throughout the year, facilitating training or in-house learning sessions for managers and employees as required.
  • Governance: Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal policies, helping to mitigate risks and avoid legal issues. Create and enforce HR policies, ensuring they align with project goals and legal requirements.
About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Post-secondary school education in Human Resources Management or Project Administration.
  • Experience in labor relations, collective agreement management in Quebec, and relations with unionized workers, an asset.
  • Working towards the CHRL designation, or completed CHRL designation is an asset.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a progressive Human Resources role.
  • Must be Bilingual (fluent in French and English) Oral and Written.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to solve problems moderately complex in nature and make routine recommendations.
  • Ability to work proactively and positively as part of a team acting with a sense of urgency.
  • Solid working knowledge of the major elements of Human Resources and its systems and processes.
  • Ability to liaise and form positive relationships with all levels of employees and management.
