Job Description:

Human Resources Business Partner

This role involves fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth within our organization. As an essential member of our HR team, the Human Resources Business Partner will play a key role in shaping our talent strategies and acting as a proactive partner and change agent for employees and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative HR solutions aligned with business goals, promoting a high-performing and engaged workforce.
  2. Support employee performance management, including coaching managers and employees, preparing disciplinary letters, ensuring proper application of policies and procedures, etc.
  3. Use data analysis to provide relevant recommendations and foster informed decision-making, ensuring HR strategies are data-driven, agile, and aligned with the evolving needs of the business.
  4. Facilitate training sessions with managers, such as performance management, calibration sessions, change management, and talent identification.
  5. Collaborate with directors and finance to participate in workforce planning initiatives that anticipate future talent needs, ensuring a seamless alignment of skills and capabilities to drive organizational success.
  6. Participate in special projects, including planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within established guidelines.
  7. Promote an inclusive and supportive work environment by designing and implementing programs that foster diversity, equity, and inclusion, thereby enhancing the employee experience.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  2. CRHA certification is considered an asset.
  3. At least 7 years of experience in HR as a generalist or business partner.
  4. At least 2 years of experience in a unionized environment under federal jurisdiction.
  5. Proficiency with Human Resource Information Systems (Workday), analysis tools, and spreadsheets (Google Suite).

Preferred Skills:

  1. Bilingualism (English/French) is essential as the role will support clients across Canada.
  2. Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of federal and provincial legislation as well as relevant case law.
  3. A practical strategic mindset with advanced HR diagnostics and coaching skills.
  4. Proven ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders, as well as anticipate and manage change.
  5. Ability to be creative and understand the broader impact of decisions and actions.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  7. Experience executing multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently while working with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
