Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team at St. Boniface Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory therapy department, you will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and support our hospital's mission to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

This is a full-time opportunity working 0.70 FTE with varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team, develop your skills and expertise, and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services to patients consistent with discipline and professional standards
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and other assessments to diagnose and manage respiratory conditions
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare staff on respiratory health and disease management
Requirements
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) approved equivalent, if internationally educated
  • Current registration with the MARRT required; current registration/membership in the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT) is preferred
  • Successful completion of the in-house Pulmonary Functions training program or successful completion of same within one (1) month from commencement in position
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $36,324 - $42,105 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, vision care, life insurance, and pension plan.
