Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services to patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical procedures.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct respiratory assessments and make recommendations for treatment.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT-approved equivalent is required.

Working Conditions

  • Good physical and mental health, manual dexterity, and visual acuity are required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods and perform manual ventilation with one or both hands.
  • Ability to lift heavy medical equipment and push wheeled medical equipment.
