Position Overview

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services to patients, including therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT-approved equivalent is required.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and will be required to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. The candidate will also be required to lift heavy medical equipment and push wheeled medical equipment.
