Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT-approved equivalent is required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competency in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships is essential.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling patient information.
