Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as spirometry and blood gas analysis.
  • Develop and implement respiratory care plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.

Requirements

  • Current registration with the MARRT is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT approved equivalent is required.

Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced clinical environment and will be required to stand and walk for prolonged periods. Manual dexterity and visual acuity are required. The ability to lift heavy medical equipment and push wheeled medical equipment is also necessary.
