Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, technical, and teaching respiratory therapy services consistent with discipline and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical interventions.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Conduct respiratory assessments, analyze data, and make informed decisions to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and comprehensive patient management.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory therapy techniques, technologies, and best practices to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Medical Association of Registered Respiratory Therapists of Manitoba (MARRT) is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Knowledge of the physiological, social, cultural, and economic aspects of patient care.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines and demonstrate professional judgment and initiative.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse patient population. The position requires manual dexterity, visual acuity, and the ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods. The candidate must also be able to lift heavy medical equipment and push wheeled medical equipment.
