Route Sales and Business Development Representative

Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate can expect a competitive annual salary range of $48,000 to $55,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental coverage. Opportunities for professional development, career growth, and promotion are also available.
Job Description
We seek an experienced Route Sales and Business Development Representative to drive sales growth and expand our customer base in the gas, convenience, and grocery channels. Reporting to the District Sales Manager, this role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and delivering compelling sales presentations to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate a delivery truck (G Class) and handheld invoicing system to load products from the warehouse into the vehicle and deliver them to customers
• Conduct daily safety inspections of the delivery vehicle and ensure accurate loading and unloading of products and point-of-sale materials
• Identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals
• Collaborate with supplier partners' representatives to provide product knowledge, consumer trends, and business insights
• Deliver engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients
• Manage inventory levels by maintaining accurate records, reconciled daily
• Record delivery information, obtain customers' signatures, and adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of one to three years of sales experience, preferably with secondary school education
2. A valid Class G Driver's License, with a minimum of three years of driving experience and a clean driving record
3. Strong interpersonal, written communication, time management, and customer service skills
4. Ability to understand customer needs and concerns, and effectively communicate value propositions
5. Superior problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently to achieve high-performance goals
6. A strong work ethic, positive team attitude, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
