Route Sales and Business Development Specialist

ColdHaus Direct is a leading direct-to-store distributor that focuses on national and independent markets. With over 20 years of experience in the sales and distribution industry, we provide a suite of services including in-house Direct Store Delivery (DSD) sales, online ordering, warehouse infrastructure, freight, fulfillment, and sub-distributor hosting-all with back office financial functions.
Competitive Compensation Package:
We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $48,000 to $55,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health and dental coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and career growth.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Route Sales Representative to drive sales and expand our customer base in the gas, convenience, and grocery channels. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying potential clients, building relationships, and closing deals to meet and exceed sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a delivery truck and handheld invoicing system to load products from the warehouse and deliver them to customers.
- Conduct CVOR safety inspections of the delivery vehicle and ensure accurate loading of product and point-of-sale materials.
- Identify and engage potential clients through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Collaborate with supplier partners' representatives to provide product knowledge, consumer trends, and business needs.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Manage inventory by keeping accurate records that are reconciled daily.
- Record delivery information, obtain customers' signatures, and follow all appropriate company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one to three years of sales experience and a secondary school education.
- A valid Class G driver's license is mandatory, with a minimum of three years of driving experience and a safe and clean driving record.
- Superior interpersonal and written communication, time management, and customer service skills to effectively build relationships.
- The ability to understand customer needs and concerns and win their business.
- Independently taking action to achieve high-performance goals.
- A strong work ethic, positive team attitude, and problem identification and resolution skills.
- The ability to use handheld devices effectively.
Location:
This role is based in-person, working Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts.
