About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framer-Carpenter to join our team at Take Flight Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Construction
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
    • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Construction
    • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
    • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
    • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
  • Post-Construction
    • Survey building locations and levels
    • Estimate costs and materials
    • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy environments, and outdoors
