About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Take Flight Contracting Ltd. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Estimate costs and materials
Work Environment

As a Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights, in noisy conditions, and outdoors. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy conditions, and outdoors
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
