We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at MS Bassi Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of buildings, from foundation to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Construction
- Develop and implement detailed construction plans, taking into account building codes and regulations.
- Conduct site assessments to identify potential construction challenges and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Construction
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Project Management
- Coordinate and schedule work on construction sites to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring budgetary compliance.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees
- Recruit and support newcomers and refugees in the construction industry, providing guidance on foreign credential recognition.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English.
- Permanent full-time position.
- 40 hours per week.
