About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Framer Carpenter to join our team at Take Flight Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and quality of our building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and ensure compliance with building codes using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Survey building locations and levels
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

As a Framer Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy conditions, and outdoors.

Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in a construction setting
