Sales Account Development Specialist

We are seeking a Sales Account Development Specialist to join our team at White Cap Canada Inc.
About the JobAs a Sales Account Development Specialist, you will be responsible for profitably growing sales in assigned customer base and achieving assigned sales growth targets. You will prospect for new accounts and increase core and cross-sell opportunities within existing customers. Your primary goal is to drive customer success and deliver a seamless customer experience by leveraging the power of White Cap tools and resources.
This role requires the operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle, with such operation done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers in the field.
- Increase customer value through cross-selling.
- Team with individuals within the sales organization and key Shared Service support personnel to execute sales growth initiatives.
- Forecast, prospect, and bid for new business, including customers, markets, and additional service opportunities.
- Develop and sustain sales relationships with key decision-makers and influencers on all levels of an organization.
- Partner with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to quickly resolve customer service issues.
- Maintain a current and competent base of product knowledge and apply that knowledge when servicing customers.
- Maintain and submit all required sales administration reports. Regularly attend company meetings.
- Demonstrate skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in complex research/data.
- The nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.
- May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position, with frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
The estimated salary for this position is around $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
