We are currently seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Advisor to join our Economic Development & Strategy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic administration and implementation of the City's communications programs under the general direction of the Manager, Economic Development & Strategy.
Key responsibilities include assisting with the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and campaigns to achieve the City's communication objectives. The incumbent will collaborate with various departments to ensure effective external communication goals are met and excellent customer service is provided.
To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in community engagement within a government or corporate environment. You must possess expert knowledge of best practices in strategic communications planning, public relations, and media relations. Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills are essential.
This position requires strong project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. If you have a passion for communications and are looking for a challenging opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
