We are seeking a Strategic Project Manager for Natural Resource Development to join the Government of Northwest Territories.

Job Summary

This is a key role in the Department of Environment and Climate Change, responsible for supporting the administration and management of public land for complex projects in the Northwest Territories.

The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a relevant field and three years of experience in project management, including commercial, industrial, and environmental projects.

This position is based in Yellowknife and reports to the Manager of the Major Projects Unit within the Land Management and Administration Division.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide expert technical advice on commercial, industrial, and other complex projects to the Division and senior management.
  2. Research, investigate, and synthesize information on land management for commercial, industrial, and other complex projects.
  3. Manage the Division's participation in the regulatory processes of major projects.
  4. Represent the Division on Departmental matters related to major projects.

The estimated salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
