We are a media outlet and conference series focused on innovative ways for companies to foster stronger relationships with their employees, customers, and communities. We offer an extensive series of both online and offline content, including one-day conferences in approximately 20 cities around the country, with new locations added regularly. In addition, we host regular online gatherings, such as webinars several times a week, monthly virtual conferences, and regular roundtables and small-group sessions.
We regularly publish articles, including reporting and opinion pieces by our team and a network of notable journalists, led by our chief content officer, veteran journalist Stephen Koepp.
About This Role:
The Senior Business Development Representative will work directly with clients to learn their goals and establish how From Day One can meet them. They will serve as a trusted resource and point of contact for clients, manage our relationships with specific sponsoring companies, and help maintain and grow our client base. The ideal candidate will be experienced in CRMs, B2B sales, outreach to prospective clients, and email communication.
The Senior Business Development Representative will be responsible for establishing sales strategies that create excitement about and engagement with our events and media content. They will regularly meet sales quotas, help clients maximize ROI at our events, and collaborate with our Client Success team to ensure that clients return for future business.
Duties include engaging in frequent B2B outreach, actively researching and nurturing relationships with sponsoring companies, working with clients to close deals, meeting or exceeding assigned sales quota, and working with the CRO and VP Sales on sales tactics.
We're looking for someone with strong academic background and a minimum of 3 years of full-time professional post-graduation experience. Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, and Excel is preferred.
This is a full-time salaried position, with a starting salary of $70,000 CAD per year, offering opportunities for regular advancement and raises. The position is remote, but please be available to meet with stakeholders based in or near the greater Toronto area if requested.
