Hotel Front Desk Operations Specialist

Accor Hotel is seeking a skilled Hotel Front Desk Operations Specialist to join their team.
About the Role:
The Hotel Front Desk Operations Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of hotel front desk services, particularly during overnight hours. This includes verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Night Audit: Perform nightly audit of guest transactions, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
- Reporting: Generate various reports for other departments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Reservation Support: Assist the Reservation team with entering reservations, confirming extra nets, and processing telephone and walk-in reservations.
- Guest Services: Greet arriving guests, provide check-in services, and arrange luggage assistance.
- In-House Services: Provide cashiering and foreign exchange services, as well as offering accurate and timely information about events and services available to guests.
- Departure Services: Offer luggage pickup and storage, checkout services, and process payment.
- Switchboard and Communication: Operate the hotel switchboard and respond to guest emails.
- Communication Log: Review department communication logs each shift and update for the next shift.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Availability: Available to work 11:00 pm to 7:00 am shift.
- Education: Post-secondary education in Hotel Management is an asset.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hotel Front Desk experience required; Night Audit experience preferred.
- Skill Set: Comfortable working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Opera Experience: Opera experience is an asset.
- Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to smile and engage in conversation.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, with strong organizing skills.
- Financial Transactions Understanding: Solid understanding of financial transactions.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated, with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Pressure Tolerance: Able to perform in high-pressure situations and make quick, responsible decisions when required.
