Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Gerdau S.A. as an Industrial Millwright Mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, machinery, and processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, machinery, and processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks and projects.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic/Millwright – A) as recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
