Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Millwright Mechanic to join our team at Gerdau S.A. as an Equipment Maintenance Specialist. This is a critical role that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the smooth operation of our plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, machinery, and processes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and lubrication of equipment, to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and outside contractors to perform complex repairs and installations, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruption to production.
  • Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, boom-lifts, and aerial work platforms, to access and maintain equipment in hard-to-reach areas.
Requirements
  • Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic/Millwright – A) as recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, with a strong sense of safety and risk awareness.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
