Position Overview:

The role of the Maintenance Technician, under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor, focuses on the assessment, installation, repair, and replacement of mechanical machinery within the facility. Key duties also encompass the servicing of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, along with maintaining detailed records of all tasks completed. The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright and have relevant experience in a robust manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, install, repair, and replace mechanical machinery.
  • Service and maintain pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Certificate of Qualification (Industrial Mechanic/Millwright).
  • Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of Bearings, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Lubrication, and Rotating Equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations.
