About the Role
HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our North American Grid Integration Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business leaders to understand current issues and develop solutions to support business goals and initiatives.
Counsel and coach business leaders on organization issues and advise on solutions to drive business success.
Support business goals and initiatives by ensuring relevant people capabilities and organizational effectiveness.
Develop and implement local people plans, including culture, competence, and organization.
Ensure people and organizational capabilities required in the mid-long term are understood and actioned.
Design and implement organizational structures and principles in line with company rules and standards.
Build a performance culture in the organization and identify performance issues.
Implement learning and development activities to build and improve competence.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure a healthy and sustainable talent structure in the organization.
Monitor staffing cost development in the business and take corrective actions when needed.
Implement and promote Health and Safety and business compliance standards and regulations.
Requirements
Master's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
5 years (minimum) of experience as HRBP.
Proficiency in MS Office applications required.
Experience with Workday preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to appropriately manage confidential and sensitive information.
Presentation skills.
