Job Summary

HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Canada. As a key member of our North American Grid Integration Business Unit, you will play a critical role in supporting our business goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with managers and employees to understand current issues and provide support through HR practices, processes, or policies.
  • Counsel and coach business leaders on organization issues and advise on solutions.
  • Support business goals and initiatives by ensuring relevant people capabilities and organizational effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement local people plans, including culture, competence, and organization.
  • Ensure people and organizational capabilities required in the mid-long term are understood and actioned.
  • Design and implement organizational structures and principles in line with company rules and standards.
  • Build performance culture in the organization and identify performance issues.
  • Implement learning and development activities to build and improve competence.
  • Set and implement strategies and actions to ensure a healthy and sustainable talent structure in the organization.
  • Monitor staffing cost development in the business and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Implement and promote Health and Safety and business compliance standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • 5 years (minimum) of experience as HRBP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to organize multiple activities which require close attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to appropriately manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Presentation skills.
