About the Role

Hitachi Energy Canada Inc. is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our North American Grid Integration Business Unit. As a key member of our HR team, you will partner with managers and employees to understand current issues and provide support through HR practices, processes, or policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement local people plans, including culture, competence, and organization, in consultation with the Director and Senior HRBP.
  • Ensure people and organizational capabilities are understood and actioned to meet business targets.
  • Design and implement organizational structures and principles in line with company rules and standards.
  • Build a performance culture, set goals and targets, and recognize and reward high performance.
  • Implement learning and development activities to build and improve competence.
  • Talent Management: set and implement strategies to ensure a healthy and sustainable talent structure, including recruitment, identification, and succession planning.
  • Remuneration and Competitiveness: decide on competitiveness position and compensation elements based on business need.
  • Change Management: decide on change management needs and implement necessary measures to facilitate change.
  • Implement and promote Health and Safety and business compliance standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • 5 years (minimum) of experience as HRBP.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications required.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
