About the Opportunity

The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the Zone Directors of Diagnostic Imaging/Cardiac Investigation, Lab & Pathology Medicine, and Pharmacy Services. This position reports to the Zone Director of DI/CIU and is responsible for a wide range of administrative, secretarial, and coordination duties.

This includes general office duties such as typing, faxing, scanning, filing, photocopying, and collating, as well as specific coordination duties like booking and arranging meetings, conferences, and accommodations. The successful candidate will also provide administrative support for several committees that may be provincial in scope.

This is a hybrid work-from-home/on-site position based out of Western Zone, with the site to be determined based on the successful candidate. Some travel within the zone may be required.

About You

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in office administration and a minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have proficient keyboarding skills.

The successful candidate will also have experience with MS Office Suite, SAP, and other software, as well as knowledge of standards for documentation and the ability to prepare formal documents, including letters, memorandums, reports, and presentations.

Hours

This is a permanent full-time position with a biweekly schedule of 75 hours.

Compensation and Incentives

The hourly rate for this position is $23.78 - $29.93, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
