About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Georgian Bay Family Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu ideas that showcase our restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness.
    • Work closely with our culinary team to ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Staff Management
    • Supervise and train our kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
    • Lead by example and demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Inventory Management
    • Oversee the ordering and inventory of all kitchen supplies and ingredients.
    • Work with our purchasing team to ensure that we are getting the best value for our money.
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards.
    • Work with our culinary team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar role.
    • Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to train and develop staff.
